What is a Benefit Company?

The Benefit Company is the answer to the question: how can we combine profitability and sustainability? This is a goal of fundamental importance in the economic and social context in which we live today, forged over the years by market evolutions and technological innovations that have led to greater development in any sector. Along with this growth, the consciousness of all of us as customers, as workers, as people has also unknowingly changed. Our approach to our surroundings has changed and we feel the need to activate greater awareness in our daily actions, among which our work certainly stands out. It is precisely this strong feeling of change that is the driving force behind the redefinition of the concept of business: no longer just an entity dedicated solely to generating profits but an entity that, through the achievement of profit goals, generates a positive impact on society and the environment.

Italy, a pioneer in the European Union, with the 2016 Stability Law introduced the discipline dedicated to the Benefit Company, which complements the existing legislation for businesses, giving legitimacy and legal certainty to this new way of doing business, marked by sustainability and responsible use of resources.

Agenda 2030: Sustainable Development Goals

In September 2015, at the United Nations General Assembly, countries around the world signed up to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). World leaders committed to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. The 2030 Agenda, together Paris Agreement on Climate Change, are the roadmap to a better world and the global framework for international cooperation on sustainable development and its economic, social, environmental and governance dimensions. As a Benefit Corporation, every year Integré identifies opportunities for improvement and sets its goals in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
